Project
Replacement of the obsolete Ambassador Bridge with a cable stay bridge (main span 853m). The two A shaped concrete pylons have a height of 213m. On completion, this will be the longest span cable stay bridge in North America.

Scope
Design and supply of 4no. 114 tonne self climbing jump form systems for construction of the main pylons. The A frame pylons slope at 10 degrees and taper in one direction. At a height of 130m the pylon legs combine to form the upper 83m cable zone.
Schedule
Installed in April 2021. After 116 concrete pours, the Lower Pylon legs on both sides were complete. By April 2022, the separate leg systems were connected in situ 135m above the ground and continued to climb, constructing the 78m high Upper Pylon cable zone and completing the towers by September 2023 on the US side, and December 2023 on the Canadian side.
