Construction of 2no. full containment LNG tanks of diameter 85m, 4no. Condensate tanks of diameter 60m and 5no. Miscellaneous tanks as part of the Gorgon LNG Project, located on Barrow Island, West Australia.

Scope
Design and supply of: 1. 2no. 391 tonne self climbing jump form systems for full containment concrete linings on the outside of the LNG tanks, including the tapered bottom section and the top ring beam at the edge of the roof. 2. 778 tonnes of steel for 8no. Working platforms (Wind Girders) for the erection of the steel tank linings on both the LNG and Condensate tanks. 3. 145 tonnes of steel for 5no. Working platforms (Wind Girders) for the erection of miscellaneous steel tanks. 4. 4no. 10 tonne Stressing platforms for the LNG Tank Stressing 5. 9No. Painting screens for Steel Tanks
Schedule
Contract awarded April 2010. Steel tank Liner erection began October 2011. Full containment construction complete. Condensate & Miscellaneous tanks complete. Stressing & Painting complete on all tanks. The Wind Girder design was subsequently patented by CB&I.
