Oliver Mork

PE, MIEAust CPEng NER, RPEQ

Founder and director of OM Engineering and a registered Professional Engineer in Australia and the USA, Oliver draws on his 27 years of knowledge and experience in the design, development and fabrication of construction systems across large-scale projects.

Founder and director of OM Engineering, Oliver draws on his 27 years of knowledge and experience in the design, development and fabrication of construction systems to lead his company in the delivery of best-in-class custom-designed formwork systems.

Previously, he was Chief Engineer of Cantilever Pty Ltd in Queensland, Australia, and designed jump form and false-work systems for the Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State, USA, the Green Bridge in Brisbane, Australia, and the Panama Canal Bridge in Panama. He also designed self-climbing systems for building projects, including Circle on Cavill, Avalon, Charlotte Street, and Skyline Apartments in Queensland, Australia, and the Everglades project in Florida, USA.

Before joining Cantilever, Oliver was Business Development Manager at Bechtel Corporation, in San Francisco, California, where he managed business development and financing, and conducted financial modeling and analysis on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (USD 800MM), a gas-fired power plant in California (USD 600MM) and New Orleans Light Rail (USD 350MM).

Prior to Bechtel, Oliver was Project Manager and Engineering Consultant with Formtech in Melbourne, Australia, and directed the design for pre-cast segment yard formwork for the Pakse Bridge in Laos.

Oliver also worked in Hong Kong for Ting Kau Contractors JV as Construction Methods Engineer on the Ting Kau Cable Stay Bridge, a project which ranks as one of the world’s largest and most technically complex cable stay bridges. He oversaw teams of designers and suppliers from more than 20 countries and supervised design and fabrication contracts.

Upon graduation from university, Oliver worked as Site Manager for Basil Read, one of the six largest contractors in the South African construction industry, and managed three construction bridge projects and supervised a staff of 45 personnel.

Mr. Mork is a registered professional engineer in the states of California and Texas (USA), as well as in Australia and the state of Queensland. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with first class honors from the University of Cape Town, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Roland Mork

BSC BUILDING MANAGEMENT

With 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Roland joined OM Engineering in 2006 as logistics and technical manager. He directs training and equipment logistics, as well as the installation and commissioning of OM systems, and has been instrumental in the company’s continuous product improvement and development.

Immediately prior to joining OM Engineering, Roland had his own property development company in Spain, and provided construction management services to architects undertaking complete restoration works on historical buildings. This included structural rehabilitation, architectural finishes, sourcing of materials and coordination of specialist contractors.

Roland also worked for Japanese construction company Aoki Corporation in Hong Kong for five years. His first role was project programmer, using Prima Vera as a coordination and expedition tool on the Kowloon Railway station. He then joined the team that managed the architectural finishes and interfaces for the Mass Transit Railway Corporation on the new Hong Kong MTR Station.

On completion of his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at the University of Durban, South Africa, Roland was involved in the demolition of the Pine Town power station in South Africa for JT Ross and Sons. He went on to work for Basil Read, one of the premier construction companies in the country.

He was a site manager on the construction of the Umdloti dual carriageway project and was involved in various urban expansion projects, specialising in water, electrical, stormwater and waste.

Stuart Hellier

With 39 years of experience in construction across a large variety of projects, including bridges, airports, hospitals, railway stations, office and residential buildings, as OM Engineering Drawing Office Manager, Stuart applies his in-depth knowledge across all projects as he leads a team of specialist 3D-modellers and draftspersons in three countries.

Prior to this, Stuart was the senior CAD Manager and Document Controller for Thermo LLC, Dubai, for the Dubai International Airport Expansion. He was responsible for a team of four CAD Managers, 240 draftspersons and nine document controllers, creating over 20,000 drawings across the construction period.

In 2004, he worked alongside Oliver Mork at Cantilever Pty Ltd on the development of the jump form systems for the Stonecutters Bridge pylons in Hong Kong. He was responsible for all modeling, drafting and detailing of the 300m-high pylons with complex geometry over an eight-week period, and created a full 3D-model to solve clashes and other assembly problems.

Before the Stonecutters Bridge project, Stuart worked in Hong Kong for 10 years on major airport core projects, including five years with Balfour Beatty Group as the CAD Manager and two years as a director of construction animation company Virtual Realty Ltd.

From 1984 to 1994, Stuart worked freelance as a Mechanical and Electrical Coordination Draftsman for a number of contractors and consultants in the UK, and in 1987 was one of the early adopters of AutoCAD.

Directly from school, between 1981 and 1984, Stuart trained and worked as a HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) Engineer for C. J. Jefferies Ltd, UK.

He holds a BTEC National Certificate in Building Services from Wandsworth College of Technology in London.

Tunya Judd

With 25 years of experience in building and construction, Tunya joined OM Engineering as Business Manager in 2008 and manages all finance and administration, statutory requirements, project claims and international shipping.

Previously, Tunya operated her own accounting business, servicing 50+ clients in many different industries.

Before this, she was an Accounts Supervisor for Richard Flanagan & Company Pty Ltd, an electrical engineering and contracting company specialising in hospitals, correctional centres, retail centres and casinos. She managed the accounts and administration staff as well as job costing and the processing of a payroll of 200+ staff.

Prior to Richard Flanagan & Company, Tunya managed the Accounts Receivable system for DA Manufacturing, a structural steel design and fabricator. She was responsible for all debtor’s functions with over 1000 active accounts.

Tunya is a registered BAS Agent and has a Certificate IV in Financial Services (HD). She is also a Justice of the Peace, in the state of Queensland.

Wendy Hollick

Wendy is the Senior Draftswoman at OM Engineering, specializing in the modelling of jump form systems for both local and International projects. Wendy is the key liaison with our clients, responsible for all communications, changes and updates to best satisfy our client’s needs.

Wendy is the Senior Draftswoman at OM Engineering, with more than 15 years experience in the construction industry.

Wendy specializes in the 3D modelling of jump form systems for bridges, buildings and industrial tanks and has worked on both Australian and International projects.

Wendy manages a team of draftspersons and she is the key liaison between OM Engineering and the client, responsible for all communications, changes and updates to best satisfy the client’s needs.

Wendy previously worked as a draftswoman at Cantilever Pty Ltd and has also worked as an architectural consultant on residential projects.

Andrew Youhanna

Andrew is the OM Engineering Maintenance Manager.  He brings a wealth of experience built up over a 35-year career in building and construction. He is responsible for the refurbishment and maintenance of all OM jump form systems and he also plays an integral role in the installation and commissioning of proprietary mechanical equipment.

Andrew joined OM Engineering in 2014 as Maintenance Manager. He is responsible for the refurbishment and maintenance of all OM jump form systems and he also plays an integral role in the installation and commissioning of proprietary mechanical equipment. 

During his 35-year career in building and construction, Andrew has excelled in the design and construction of many projects, including luxury homes.  He has held a medium-rise builder license since 2000.  

From 2000 until 2005, Andrew was employed as Research & Development Manager for CDS Nu-Steel at Yatala, Queensland.  Here he was key in achieving approval of a steel-frame building system for use in Japan, ensuring compliance with their stringent building codes. This involved structural testing at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and daily collaboration with engineers.  Andrew was responsible for 20 skilled fabricators and labourers, as well as international logistics.

Between 1995 and 2000, Andrew was a Foreman involved in the construction of large self-storage facilities and tilt-slab showroom warehouses in Brisbane.

In the early stages of his career, he worked in a mechanical workshop specialising in custom VW’s and engine building.
