Construction of concrete cable stay bridge (main span 380m) with H shaped concrete pylons of height 145m.
Client
BBBH (Bilfinger Berger Baulderstone Hornibrooke) Consortium.
Scope
Design and supply of 2no. self climbing jump form systems and 2no. crane picked systems for construction of the main pylons. The H frame pylons slope at 4 degrees and taper in two directions with an architectural feature on the outside face.
Schedule
The first pylon commenced construction in January 2008 and was completed in October 2008. Completion of the second pylon was in March 2009 & the bridge was opened 4 months ahead of schedule.
