The New Tappan Zee Bridge

Construction of concrete twin span cable stay bridge across the Hudson (main span 366m) with H shaped concrete pylons of height 121m.
Client
Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) – Fluor Corporation, American Bridge, Traylor Bros & Granite.
Scope
Design and supply of 8no. 108 tonne self climbing jump form systems for construction of the main pylons. The H frame pylons sloped at 5 degrees and tapered in two directions.

Schedule
Construction of the pylons commenced July 2015 and all 8 piers were completed by Jan 2017.
